U.S.-Japan Innovation Lab Online Event This Thursday

The U.S.-Japan Innovation Lab, a project by Teutizoku LLC, aims to advance commercial ties between Japan and the U.S. by connecting freelancers, entrepreneurs, and creators in both countries. They educate, innovate, and collaborate for a greater collective impact.

Do you work for a Japanese company and have questions you could never ask your boss? Come ask our guest speaker, Mr. Toshiya Yamada, in this candid discussion about Japanese management style. The discussion will be in Japanese, so this may be of most interest to those with intermediate, advanced, and native-level Japanese. Mr. Yamada is General Manager of the President's Office at FC Standard Logistics Co., LTD. based in Tokyo. He is also author of the blog D2D and is starting a podcast on all things trade related.

The U.S.-Japan Innovation Lab also runs a free Japanese reading club. They meet 1-2 times per month to discuss Japanese literature and other reading materials.

Chicago Japan Film Collective 2022

Welcome to the 2022 edition of the Chicago Japan Film Collective! This year's festival features 14 films over 10 days—from May 21st to May 30th. This year, we are also offering three in-theater screenings in Chicago with the other 11 available from anywhere in the United States.

The theme of this year's festival is "Love.” With the pandemic when face-to-face contact was limited, and the war in Ukraine, which is happening right now - many people must have thought deeply about life and the relationship between human beings. A total of 14 carefully selected films convey through cinema the love that is indispensable to us human beings, no matter what form it takes, and how that love should be.

Join us for an evening of Japanese language fun and games!

JETAA Chicago is hosting the next Japanese Language Series night on Tuesday, May 31st from 6-7 pm CST. This month, to celebrate the transition from spring to summer, we will be hosting a beginner's night! We'll be focusing on fun activities that double as learning strategies. Not a beginner? Not to worry, these activities are still fun for all levels and good for staying sharp.
