The Consulate-General of Japan in Chicago is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for the position of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Scholarship and JET (Japan Exchange & Teaching) Program Coordinator for the Japan Information Center (JIC). The Japan America Society of Chicago is currently working on expanding their online Japanese classes, and are seeking additional instructors to teach the below level classes. They are looking for fluent Japanese speakers, who have experience teaching Japanese either in-person or online. They can provide all class materials and a class syllabus for review. 


Their upcoming Winter II session will be held from March 3- April 10, 2025 (6 weeks). 

Beginning I - TUES 7:30-9:30 pm (day and time flexible) 

Beginning II - TUES 7:30-9:30 pm 

Beginning V - MON 7:30-9:30 pm 

Beginning VIII - WED 7:30-9:30 pm
