Professional Career Counseling - One common struggle many JETs face upon returning to the US is searching for new employment. JETAA Chicago has paired with career counselor and coach Emily Frank to provide personalized help sessions for our JETs in the midwest. Whether JETs have just returned or have been back for several years, JETAA Chicago offers our members a 1-hour session with Emily at no cost to them. These counseling sessions will typically take place during the fall and winter seasons, when a majority of JETs return from the program.
Career Development Workshop - Using her experience and knowledge in professional career counseling, Emily Frank was able to create a 1.5 hour workshop for JETAA Chicago members in early 2021. Topics focused on leaving a job, searching for new employment, networking, and the effects of COVID-19 on the American job market. Emily also provided various career development resources for JETAA Chicago members to use following the workshop. The Career Development Workshop will typically be held in the fall.
