JETAA Wisconsin hosts online Wagashi Workshop!

Join JETAA Wisconsin for a virtual wagashi making class on Sunday, August 23, 2:30-4:30pm CST! This is a fun, beginner level workshop! The workshop cost is around $50/per person. It is open to friends of JET, and JET alumni are eligible for cost-share. This workshop is only online and supply kits will be sent directly to your home.

2026 Survival Series: Japanese Language Pizza Party

Join us on Thursday, July 23, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CST,  for the final event of JETAA Chicago's '26 Survival Series, the Japanese Language Pizza Party! Held at the Japan Information Center (JIC) at the Consulate-General of Japan in Chicago immediately following the Japanese Language classes, JET alumni are invited to partake in possibly the last pizza dinner before the outgoing JETs head to Japan! Save the date and come join us in closing out the Survival Series!

2026 Survival Series: JET Generations Nomikai at Lizzie McNeill's

The JETAA Chicago Summer Nomikai returns on Tuesday, June 30th! Join your fellow alumni, from 10+ years returned to the new 2026 Outgoing Class, for an evening of fun in downtown Chicago. Come see old friends, build new relationships and swap stories about your time in Japan or what you hope to do once there. This is a great opportunity for new outgoing JETs and older alumni alike to meet and network. The event will be held at Lizzie McNeill's on their outdoor patio (weather permitting, if not, we will be inside) from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.

Enjoy the wonders of the 飲み放題 (nomihōdai) again or for the first time! Each ticket includes a two-hour party package with soft drinks, draft beer, house wine, and well cocktails. JETAA Chicago will also be providing light appetizers for guests. The cost is $35 per person.

Also, JETAA Chicago is looking for alumni to join our Survival Series events and discuss their experiences with the new JETs in a more casual setting. If you are interested in participating, let us know by completing this form!
