-Mie, Once in Your Lifetime – Ranging from Suzuka Circuit, where F1 Gran Prix takes place, the birthplace of Iga-ryu Ninja and Kumano Kodo ancient pilgrimage routes to Matsusaka Beef and Ise-ebi spiny lobster, some of Japan’s most sought-after cuisines, Mie never fails to stimulate your interest and appetite. Located in central Japan, the prefecture is easily accessible from major international airports.


About the Speaker

Tala Karmy-Jones is an American Coordinator for International Relations at the Mie Prefectural Government’s Diversity Promotion Division. Tala moved to Mie in 2021 after graduating from the University of Washington with a double degree in Anthropology and Japanese Language. She is very excited and thankful for the opportunity to introduce Mie’s cultural assets in this presentation.
