Journey to Hokuriku: Ishikawa with the Japan America Society of Chicago (JASC)

Continue your journey through the prefectures of Japan with Japan America Society of Chicago's next "Journey" event: Journey to Hokuriku: Ishikawa on Thursday, January 26th from 6-7 pm CST!

About the Event

“The Culture of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Passed Down from the Samurai Era”

During the Samurai period (1603-1868), Kanazawa invested more in culture than in military affairs, and many cultures flourished as a result. Centuries later, we are still carrying on the traditions from that time. We would like to trace Kanazawa’s past and present with you.

About the Speaker

Ms. Yumiko Omoteguchi is currently the Europe, North America and Oceania markets Team Leader for the Inbound Tourism Division of the Ishikawa Prefectural Government since 2019. She has worked in the Inbound Tourism Division since 2014.
