Join JASI (Japan-America Society of Indiana) and Ms. Arisa Miyakozawa on Thursday, March 24th from 6-7 pm EST as she teaches us how to make Miso paste in an online program! Miso, a traditional Japanese ingredient produced by fermenting soybeans, can be used in all sorts of ways, from sauces and salad dressings, to delicious miso soup. It only takes three ingredients to make and is a lot of fun!

The online JASI program will introduce the history and usage of Miso, and then walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to make your own Miso at home. We'll then share the anticipation together during the fermentation process and enjoy unveiling our homemade Miso in a follow-up program in six months! There will be some simple preparation the day before the program. We will send all the ingredients and instructions to you in advance once you’ve registered. We hope you’ll join us!

If you have any questions, please contact JASI Project Coordinator Minori Abel at minori.abel@japanindiana.org. The program is free, but requires advanced registration by Monday, March 14th in order to participate. Kids we welcome!
