Join the The Logan Theatre, Japanese Culture Center - 日本文化会館, and C2E2 for an evening celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Katsuhiro Ôtomo's AKIRA!
Childhood friends Tetsuo and Kaneda are pulled into the post-apocalyptic underworld of Neo-Tokyo and forced to fight for their very survival. Kaneda is a bike gang leader, and Tetsuo is a member of a tough motorcycle crew who becomes involved in a covert government project called Akira. But a bloody battle ensues when Kaneda sets out to save his friend.
Celebrate in The Logan Lounge with illustrator Waking Oni (artist of the event post below) and DJ Van Paugam spinning 80s Japanese Disco, Funk, & City Pop Vinyl Records!
Expect drink specials, raffles, and a dance party. We enthusiastically welcome cosplay!
There is no cover for the Lounge Pre-party.
Screening tickets are $15 and include Waking Oni limited edition "Neo Logan" poster (numbered and signed by artist), as well as a raffle ticket for prizes from C2E2.
