Join us for our March Open Board Meeting and Officer Elections on Monday!

We invite our JETAA Chicago membership to join us for our 2023 JETAA Chicago officer elections at our March Open Board Meeting (OBM) on Monday, March 6th from 6:30-7:30 pm CST! Even if you can't attend the meeting, we would still appreciate if you could take a few minutes to cast your ballot and help vote in the next generation of JETAA Chicago leadership!

For those interested in participating in the election, here are a few things to keep in mind:

• You must be a member of JETAA Chicago and its subchapters, claiming residency in Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin, to vote. You will be asked to confirm your status when completing your ballot.

• All votes will be cast online using an electronic ballot. Sign up here to receive your ballot.

• Our elections are being monitored by an impartial third party from outside our chapter.

• You do not need to attend the OBM to vote.

• Voting will be open from 12:00PM CST until 7:30PM CST on Monday, 3/6. The incoming/continuing officers will be announced at the OBM after this time.

WI Subchapter Meeting!

Hello Wisconsin JET Alumni!

Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!!

Our next WI Subchapter meeting will be Saturday, February 25, 2023. It will be in person, and we will be making our way to Oshkosh, WI. The meeting will take place at Fuki Asian Fusion & Sushi over lunch.

As always, we plan to chat about JET, JETAA, and Japan related topics. The meeting is open to JET alumni and their friends and families. It is a good place to reminisce, to network and to encourage one another after JET. We will be doing a fair amount of planning for the year at this meeting, so if you have any suggestions, or would like to help with planning, please come with your ideas!

Spring into spring with JETAA Chicago's language night!

Join us Wednesday, March 1st from 6:30-7:30 pm CDT, for JETAA Chicago's Japanese Language Series event for March!

This month, we're going to jump head first into some video games for language learning! Not educational games, but just good games that you can use to study Japanese. Not a big gamer? Not sure of your Japanese skill? No worries! The night will still be an opportunity for Japanese language practice for all skill levels. ぜひ来てください！

The Japanese Language Series events are intended to bring together JETAA members and supporters who want to stay engaged with Japanese language learning and use.
