A new twist on an old favorite! The JETAA Chicago and Japan America Society of Chicago YPC Book Club continues in 2024 with a meeting in June!

Join us for our next meeting on Thursday, June 20th!

Our book club highlights voices and stories with a solid connection to Japan. For our next meeting, we have chosen Before The Coffee Gets Cold. Written by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, in June's pick, we meet four visitors, each of whom is hoping to make use of the café’s time-traveling offer, in order to confront the man who left them, receive a letter from their husband whose memory has been taken by early onset Alzheimer's, to see their sister one last time, and to meet the daughter they never got the chance to know.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the book and join us for an evening of casual discussion in a virtual space via Zoom! Registrations are limited, so grab a spot while you can!
