JETogether with us this Friday!

Don't forget to join us this Friday, May 24th from 7 - 8:30 pm CST, for the first event of JETAA Chicago's '24 Survival Series, JETogether, for outgoing '24 JETs ! Alumni are encouraged to come as well. This event will be an informal meet and greet for outgoing JETs to get the chance to learn about different areas in Japan, showcased by JET Alumni, as well as the opportunity to meet other JETs departing for the same area.

Finally, JETAA Chicago is in need of JET alumni mentors to help educate and onboard the next generation of outgoing JETs! Interested? Fill out the Alumni Mentor In-take Form!

*Note: All alumni who register must fill out the 2024 Alumni In-take Form.

Being located in the Chicagoland area is not required to be a mentor. Any of our alumni in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana are welcome and wanted!

2024 Japan Festival Volunteer Registration

JETAA Chicago received the following request for volunteers from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago.

We are excited to announce 2024 Japan Festival will be held on Sunday, June 16th at Millennium Park!

We are currently looking for volunteers to build a wonderful team for a successful event. We need your help assisting attendees at the festival as well as assisting performers, exhibitors, and vendors!

Currently, volunteers will be provided with a food ticket and water. Volunteers are asked to participate for the entirety of the event from as early as 9 AM to 5 PM - times depending on the duty you are assigned.

Call for Volunteers: Hanami at Jackson Park in Chicago

The Japanese Culture Center needs volunteers to help with their event Hanami & Kodomo no Hi at the Garden of the Phoenix in Jackson Park on Sunday, May 5th! Volunteers will be needed from 9 am-3 pm and they are looking for 10 more people!
