Join us on Friday, June 16 from 7-8:30 PM, CST, for the second event of JETAA Chicago's '23 Survival Series, Diversity of Experience Panel, for outgoing '23 JETs ! This event will be focused on giving outgoing JETs the chance to discuss how to navigate areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) while in Japan, as well as how said areas will impact one's experience, such as being a minority, double-minority, and even novel minority. The panel will be led by JET Alumni who have navigated areas of DEI and are also open to answering questions.

This month, we'll be having a Team Trivia challenge! Make sure you sign up with a buddy (or make a new buddy at the event) as we go through a few different categories of trivia (or 豆知識). Not sure of your Japanese skill? No worries! The night will still be an opportunity for Japanese language practice for all skill levels. ぜひ来てください! The Japanese Language Series events are intended to bring together JETAA members and supporters who want to stay engaged with Japanese language learning and use. JETAA WI is holding the Wisconsin JETAA Outgoing JET Q&A Session in Madison, WI and is open to short-listed and alternate JETs (you are welcome to attend even if you're not based in Wisconsin!). This is a great opportunity to meet other JETs who are also leaving from Wisconsin, and get specific questions answered by a panel of former JETs. The WI Q&A is in-person, dress is casual, and you can bring a close friend or family along. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, we will break for lunch around noon.
