On Saturday, November 20th from 2-4 pm CST, JETAA Chicago held its annual Career Development Workshop! Featured speakers include fellow JET alumni Emily Frank (The Career Catalyst) and Rob Uy (RSU Consulting). If you are a JET alum currently navigating the job market after JET, considering switching careers, or just pondering what’s next for you, then take a look! Topics covered include resume and cover letter writing, navigating the process of switching careers, and how to leverage your JET experience in the job application process.

Joe Palermo, MEF (Monbusho English Fellows Program, predecessor to the JET Program) in Gunma Prefecture from 1982-1983, is the author of “No Pianos, Pets or Foreigners! My Life in Japan in the 80s”, available on Amazon, as well as articles published in Nostalgia and Origami magazines.
