Learn about wellness experiences including green tea, wasabi, and numerous traditional hot spring spa resorts. Hear about outdoor adventure experiences in this off-the-beaten path Mt Fuji region. Study historical sites and cultural experiences that have been core to the formation of today’s Japanese nation.

JETAA Chicago has received the following information from Adam Sorkin, a Chicago JET alumni and Chief Instructor at Northwest Aikido. Please see details in the attached PDF and the description below.

I am a former JET from way back (1995-1998, Nara) checking in after many years away. I began studying aikido while on JET. After 25 years of training (15 years in Japan and another 10 in the U.S.) I have started teaching a small aikido class near my home in Arlington Heights. I am offering some aikido "trial classes" during the holiday season. Each costs $1.00. If you live or work in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs, and you think you might like to train in aikido, this is an easy way to sample it before jumping in.

Here's my dojo.

Please reach out to me directly with any questions at northwestaiki@gmail.com. Thank you!
