Halloween is almost upon us and this October JETAA Chicago is hosting two events to keep your spooky spirits up! Whether you are looking for a chill afternoon of museum exploration and conversation or a harrowing puppet theater experience, read on to find out more about the festive fun we have planned!

Dia de Muertos Museum Visit

Sunday, October 19 @ 1:00PM CT - Pilsen

JETAA Chicago returns to the location of one of the first ever JETogethers - the National Museum of Mexican Art! The Museum has hosted the art of many Japanese-American and Japanese-Mexican artists over the years, including Shizu Saldamando, and we encourage you to visit one of Chicago's local gems and join in a Coffee Kaiwa at a nearby cafe after!

Haunted Puppet Theater

Saturday, October 25 @ 6:50 PM CT - Lakeview

With a bunraku spirit, the House of the Exquisite Corpse is Chicago’s only puppet haunted house. Each show is unique, and this year’s chilling theme is "Blood & Puppets." In a large room, groups will move from station to station watching different puppet shows viewed through peepholes and using provided headphones for an eerie experience. And best of all, JETAA Chicago is covering half of your ticket cost!*

* Priority will be given to JETAA Chicago members for discounted tickets to the puppet theater.

We hope to see you in October!
